Who We Are

A Church Pursuing God's Truth Together

We are a community of believers committed to knowing God deeply, loving one another genuinely, and making His glory known in Arizona and beyond.

Our Story

Born Out of a Passion for the Word

Pursuit Bible Church was founded on a simple conviction: that the local church exists to glorify God by pursuing His truth in every facet of life. The Worship of God is our primary ministry. Worship as defined in scripture as the presentation of a sacrificed life before God in preference of His will. Pursued with biblically motivated passion and offered in reverence with humility, complete reliance, and joyfulness.

The Word of God is our final authority and source of life-guidance, calling us to a faith-filled, obedient, godly life-style. We place, as a central imperative, the focused, deliberate and committed engagement with the Word of God to know Him to the fullest degree, to believe in Him by the empowering of The Spirit, and to reflect the character of God. To that end, the Word of God ought not be the occasional ornament of the believer’s life, but THE guiding light, the highest authority and the ever-ready armory that we turn to daily for direction, correction and transformation. For man does not live by bread alone but by EVERY word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

Our Mission

"Pursuing God's Truth to Reflect His Glory"

We exist to glorify God by making disciples who know His Word, love His people, and proclaim His name.

Mission Statements

Sound Doctrine

We adhere to the Word of God as our foundation and standard of doctrinal truth. By God’s grace, we will not be influenced by popular culture, religious politics or seeker-friendly standards. Always living in the spirit of the maxim—In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, charity.

Prayer

Consistent prayer and faithful intercession allow us to enter a partnership with God Almighty, and they are the foundational means of personal and corporate fruitfulness in life, service, and ministry. No prayer life = no production.

Ministry to the Family

The biblically modeled family is God’s foundational social and governmental unit and is to be nourished, served, and preserved as such. Fundamental to this value is the sanctity of biblical marriage, biblical sexuality, and human life. The family reflects our worship and is pivotal to any successful ministry.

Unity of the Body

The unity of the Church—Christ’s global, many-faceted Body—is to be earnestly sought and unselfishly served, that this value for which Jesus prayed may find its answer in our attitudes and commitments. A singular local house is not prioritized above the function of the whole body. We are called to build His Kingdom, not our brand.

Racial Harmony and God’s Kingdom

Under God our Creator, ethnic diversity is respected; and under Christ our Redeemer, all humanity is invited to answer the Bible’s call to the values and virtues of the Kingdom of God. In this light, cultural and ethnic variety ought to be encouraged and celebrated. There is no "black church", no "white church" or any other ethnic separator; we are His Church!

Spirit-filled Witness and Service

Always be missions minded; then recognize every place, every interaction, every opportunity is the mission field. The ministry of the Church is to be conveyed through the means of maturing believers at every age level, social status, and marital state: filled with the Holy Spirit for empowered witness and equipped in the Word and His gifts for faithful service.

Spiritual Warfare

We are at war! The battle never ceases or slows. The reality of the invisible realm of spiritual conflict demands biblical confrontation through prayer and ministry with discernment and love; that the triumph of Calvary is not minimized but applied by such means. We are to engage with the understanding that there are no bystanders in this fight!

Vitality of the Spiritual Language

The biblical exercise of Holy Spirit enabled supernatural utterance for prayer, praise, intercession, and edification, is a desirable and an available resource for every believer, but is not to be deemed an essential experience, or insisted upon for salvation, filling, maturity, or success in spiritual life. While such an experience is encouraged, and may enhance one’s intimacy with God, it is never to be manipulated, forced, faked, or presented in such a way as to create division or a sense that one believer is more or less than another believer.

Spirit of Giving and Stewardship

To live is to give—in tithes, offerings, and all life’s resources. We steward what we have been given of time, gifts and finances, seeing these as being from God’s hand, yet as ours to obediently distribute. Covenantal giving is product of gratitude and obedience, not obligation and manipulation.
